Matchboard just got better!
Now you can automatically add tailored discussion questions that get groups talking about their shared professional interests. And make multiple rounds of groups so attendees can meet more people. It all comes together in a new front end where users find their information more easily.
Matchboard is a CCI app that automatically creates high-quality breakout groups by clustering participants into small groups of any size based on the sessions they choose (and other multiple-choice survey inputs), rather than relying on broad, generic interest tags.
Here’s what’s new:
Tailored discussion questions
Create breakouts with an instant on-ramp.
Discussion questions are automatically custom built for each group. Participants enter a room and immediately have prompts that match why they were grouped together—no awkward “so… what do you do?” warmup required.
Multiple rounds of small groups without duplication
Matchboard prevents repeat pairings automatically.
It will generate a fresh set of groups while avoiding any “you’ve already met” duplicates—so each round maximizes new connections. (Note that “Reese Moore” is now with two new conversation partners.)
New Front End for users
Instead of users looking for their information in the spreadsheet, now they can simply enter their name into Matchboard and see:
Names of their group members, along with any demographic info (e.g., role at this event or newcomer vs. returner)
Room number for their group
Shared professional interests
Discussion questions
